Happy Easter 2010

The New Year

This is a cereal box book report Lauren did for school.

I bought a few bushels of apples when Farmer Q's closed for the season. After giving some to neighbors, we still had a bunch. These are yummy apple bars. They don't look anywhere close to what they taste like.

We are trying to be greener at home which means less reliance on paper products. These are some cloth napkins i made on the cheap.

Made some homemade yogurt on my lunch hour yesterday. Yummy. It takes about 8 hours to thicken. We eat it with frozen berries from the yard or use it in place of sour cream. This batch was made from a Greek starter.

Treats for the kids to take to school for Valentine's Day tomorrow. Dipped sourdough pretzels.
Lauren entered a Valentine Box contest at school. The theme of her box is "Jungle of Love". Jon helped her with the concept.

Sugar Loaf Mountain

It as so beautiful a few weeks ago that we decided to climb Sugar Loaf and enjoy the afternoon. We also periodically enjoy a good game of Scrabble.
